May Is National Arthritis Month
Weeks Of May 12, 2008 - May 25, 2008
From The Desk Of Laura M. Turner:
If you have arthritis or someone close to you
does, you understand first hand that it is not just a simple inconvenience.
More, it
is a traveler that one could spend a lifetime trying to find balance with.
Sadder still, it knows no boundaries. It is
not age specific and I've personally noticed more and more of my young friends dealing with the
pain of the both types of arthritis Rheumatoid (RA) and Osteoarthritis (OA).
In this issue of New Body News then, and in our
next issue to come, we focus much on the
awareness of arthritis. It is my wish that you educate yourself and have a
good look at much of the literature we've provided here for you. It comes
from one of the finest minds on the subject, Dr. Richard H. Blau. First, you will want to check
out his Top 10 Arthritis
Myths Debunked and, while you are at it, I hope you will also read my review of his book
Too Young To Feel Old,
as well.
We also hope you'll have a look at many of the
other titles in this issue. Chiropractor, Dr. Todd Sinett, has provided
more of his healthy back wisdom in
Food Rules for
Healthy Backs. You can also learn about the fascinating process of
Gem Water Healing from
the experts in the field Michael Gienger and
Joachim Goebel.
They have been kind enough to tell us about their book Gem Water in this
fascinating excerpt.
Finally, to get you ready for the summer season, I
thought you'd enjoy both some
tips to avoid workout burnout from the fitness specialist Lynn Boyd, as well
as how to overcome some of the
eating issues you will
find at this season's weddings from the wise and wonderful
Judith J. Wurtman, PhD, and Nina Frusztajer Marquis, MD
Authors of
The Serotonin Power Diet.
They will both help keep your weight on track regardless of circumstances
and are both fine editions to your wellness arsenal.
As always, dear reader, I love
having you here. Each day when I turn on my computer I renew my commitment
to my own mission, to inspire you to live a healthy life. I also renew my mission
to continue to build a publication that is focused on you and keeping you
healthy and fit. With your inspiration and encouragement, this
re-commitment continues to energize me . The joy that has come from you,
and your interest in this publication makes it a pleasure to put together each
issue.
As always, I value your subscriber-ship and cannot
tell you this enough. I am looking forward to many more wonderful years together
in our quest for perfect health.
Laugh and Be Well,
Laura
