Why The Spirit-Body
Duality Should Not Exist
By Nick Arrizza, M.D.
Spiritual
and religious teachings often emphasize and take for granted what is called
the spirit-body duality. This is the phenomenon that states that we have a
spirit and a body and that these are two separate things that not only
separate on the death of the body but that this is a normal and necessary
occurrence.
I would like to state unequivocally that the presence of what is seen as a
spirit-body duality exists as an aberration of the truth of who we really
are. In other words such a duality should not exist. In my view it exists
only because something has gone terribly wrong in the evolution of humanity.
So what has gone wrong?
Well it has been my ongoing experience working with individuals employing a
new healing modality called the Mind Resonance Process(R) (MRP) that our
normal state as human beings is to have what we refer to as the "spirit" and
what we refer to as the "body" completely integrated into one and
indivisible whole.

Mindful Moment: A Trip
Through Your Senses
By Joel Guarna
Here
is a simple mindfulness and relaxation exercise you can do anytime. We can
call this "a trip through your senses." Learn the exercise first and then
walk yourself through it slowly, not at the pace of your reading it.
Start by sitting comfortably with feet flat on the floor and your back
upright, eyes closed. Move your attention as if scanning up your body
starting at the floor. Notice what you feel, one sensation at a time, from
your feet, legs, abdomen, chest and back. Become aware of your
breathing--what it feels like, sounds like, how your body moves. Scan up
into your upper back, shoulders, and neck, noticing any tension there. Move
your jaw around and relax it.

Making Every Day Matter
By New Body News Sr.
Editor, Laura M. Turner
Recently,
I read The Alchemist by
Brazilian author Paulo
Coelho. If you haven't
read it yet, the main
character, Santiago, has
a dream that he must go
to the pyramids of
Egypt. Here, he's told,
he will find a treasure
waiting just for him.
Inspired, he followed
his calling. What he
found was, most on his
path were either too
afraid or became
sidetracked when it came
to following their own
journey to what he later
named the quest for a
"Personal Legend."
All this got me
thinking. First, what
does it mean to have and
find a personal legend?
And how do we go about
the business of
following the call to
our own treasure? To me
it involves the simple
(or not so simple) task
of making every day
matter. In this article
then, I will aim to
document what I think
are several ways we can
each align ourselves
with our treasure. In
the light of the new
year, we can all do well
by taking time to think
about the possibilities
our legend holds for us
and, with this mindset,
aim to make each day a
meaningful one.

The Language of the Soul: Healing with Words of Truth (Trans-Generational Healing & Family Constellations series)
In
Paperback - Written By John L. Payne
Are
you telling your truth? Whether you
are or you're not, your soul knows the answer.
And if the story you are telling the world is
not your authentic one, this could not only affect your health and your relationships, but
the future of this and all generations to come.
How do we know if we are telling our truth? By
listening to the language of our soul. It
is here we must answer the hard questions.
The deep questions. The questions that answer
what created the
pain we may be experiencing in the first place.
And this pain can run the gamut, from
destructive
behaviors, deep feelings and addiction to career
challenges, relationships and depression.
In his book Language
of The Soul, author, metaphysical
teacher and personal coach John L. Payne helps
readers with this soul work. In the book,
he
uses the help of "human characters" to bring
forward the
truth. Once the truth is out in the open
and the source is discovered, the wounds can be
healed. The
Language Of the Soul does its work by using what
Payne calls a family "constellation."
In my assessment a constellation is a chosen
team representing core family or human
members active in the roles that stand between
us and our truth. Once chosen, Payne
creates a sort of
"reading": a tuning in to the channel
of the soul to learn both what it wants and how
to best express its truth.
On the outside,
this all seems confusing at
first. Yet, after reading the Language of the
Soul, I found its immediate take home
message: we must all take a personal
responsibility to heal the wounds that plague our selves
and our families. Payne's book can help. For in healing our own
souls, we can help our past, present and future
generations. The best way to explain the depth
of this work is to give you a personal example
based on what I think are the three main tools
for healing found in Payne's book.
