Twelve Steps To Heaven - A Review
By Laura M. Turner
In
these troubled times, it seems to me, there is little in this world to be
optimistic about. Even for those of us who are the half-full types
(speaking for myself) it's getting to us. Let's face it, this world and
this country's future are looking mighty grim. Okay, so maybe
I've been reading too much Vonnegut. And maybe, just maybe, there's still
hope. If there is, and I can find it, I will cling with every ounce of my being
to its message. With this said, imagine for a second if you will, that
you've just been told there is something more
and from the most
authoritative of sources. Would you trust it?
Like a divine prescription
then, the Twelve Steps to Heaven and its author Jayne Chilkes ignites readers by
drawing them into her angelic world and communion with the divine. Through
the characters of her angelic family, you are quickly moved to embrace the messages
they hold for all of humanity - that everything is going to be all
right. That is, however, if we each do our part. And that part, my
friends, is not as easy a role as it sounds.
To align always with this light creates a
difficult challenge for most. For to wake up to ourselves is not easy, nor
is it attractive. It means expressing our truth, letting go of our past
entirely, letting go of all of our wounds and our clinging to the ego, as well
as false power
sources. All this, save the notion of loving each other unconditionally.
Sadly, I'm left to wonder if this life of light is even possible. Yet, as Jayne draws us deeper into
her angelic conversations with the solar family i.e. those angels who have unlimited sight,
vision and creativity, we understand this freedom is, in fact, not only possible
but it is our promise and birthright.
Remember the song from the '60s
"The Age Of Aquarius" (5th Dimension)? We are in fact in its dawning. At
the time of its writing, the song and its message gave the people the power of
hope during Vietnam wartime. This, with the promise of a more enlightened age to
come. But, that's only part of the story. From a mystical perspective, this New Age
was also predicted by many great mystics of our time. Edgar Cayce in his readings
tells us of the Age of Aquarius - the time when power and greed will make a last
ditch effort, but will fail and in the end will no longer
serve as individually more of us learn to live as God, in the light of the
divine.
According to this message, the destroyers of the world
eventually must surrender. They will have to. It is the belief in the
New Age, as I
understand it, that there is no power stronger
than nature and we must surrender to the loving peace of her ways. To
promote the possibility of this life then, Jayne Chilkes shows us the work we
must do individually to bring about this enlightened period. And if there is even
the most remote possibility of this beauty of "peace guiding the planets and
love steering the stars" you can bet I'll be doing my part, how 'bout you?
In the Twelve Steps to Heaven you will learn:
- Meditations and affirmations to
keep you body healthy and strong, youthful, beautiful and ageless
- Learn the layers of your self
you will need to uncover to live in this promise of peace and raise the
consciousness of others
- Learn the divine
assignments that spoken through Jayne, could be scripted for all of us
- Learn to invoke your
divine mate and guide to assist you on your journey
In the Twelve Steps To Heaven,
you will join in the direct conversation with this divine seer to understand that our world can be a better place to live.
After reading, I'm a believer in the promise... the promise that All good things
are available if we
would only trust the greatest message from heaven: that love is all there is.
